Lisa is a newly qualified Dental Hygienist with a deep passion and commitment to her
profession. She began her career as a Dental Nurse in 2013, gaining over 11 years of
experience in the field. Along the way, she qualified in Dental Radiography in 2015 and Oral
Health Education in 2016. It was through her role as an oral health educator that Lisa’s
passion for patient education took root, sparking her interest in Dental Hygiene.
Her dedication led her to pursue a BSc in Dental Hygiene at Teesside University, where she
graduated with first-class honours in June 2024. Lisa is now well-versed in the latest
evidence-based practices and guidelines, continually staying informed through her
memberships with The British Society of Periodontology & British Society of Dental Hygiene
and Therapy.
Lisa’s areas of interest include advanced periodontal treatments such as professional
mechanical plaque removal, AirFlow stain removal, and cosmetic enhancements like tooth
whitening. She is especially passionate about educating and supporting patients in
managing periodontal disease, helping them regain confidence through improved oral
health.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys staying active by hiking in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands
and Peak District, followed by visits to cozy cafes after a long hike.
