Joanne is a local girl, born and raised in Newcastle – under- Lyme and has worked in the area for over 20 years.

Joanne started her career as a dental nurse at Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1989 where she worked alongside world renowned specialists. In 1993 she moved to Cardiff University to further her growing interest in Periodontology. There she qualified as a Dental Hygienist and was recognised for her excellence in the field with the BDHA Educational Award for hygienist of the year.

Following the completion of her training in Cardiff, Joanne returned home to Newcastle, where she has worked in private dentistry ever since. Joanne is hugely experienced in treating advanced gum disease, implant maintenance, whitening treatments and working with anxious patients. She is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygienist and Therapists and regularly attends postgraduate courses to remain at the cutting edge of the hygiene profession.

Joanne is much loved by her colleagues and patients alike.
When Jo is not at work or attending courses, she lives on and is involved with running a busy dairy farm. With the little time left over she enjoys cooking, reading, yoga and walking the dog.
